- 1/2 cup soy sauce
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 cup sesame oil
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon ginger, minced
- 1 tablespoon gochujang (optional)
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 cup beef broth
- Green onions for garnish
- Sesame seeds for garnish
Instructions
- Place the beef chuck roast in the slow cooker.
- In a bowl, mix together the soy sauce, brown sugar, sesame oil, garlic, ginger, gochujang (if using), black pepper, and beef broth.
- Pour this tasty sauce over the beef in the slow cooker.
- Cook on low for 6-8 hours or on high for 3-4 hours, until the beef is tender and easy to shred.
- Once cooked, shred the beef using two forks and stir it into the sauce.
- Serve hot over cooked rice, and garnish with green onions and sesame seeds.
