Description

A delightful shrimp and scallop gratin that combines seafood with rich cream and cheese, perfect for family dinners or special occasions.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1 pound scallops
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup grated cheese (such as Gruyère or Parmesan)
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté until fragrant.
  3. Add the shrimp and scallops into the skillet, cooking just until they turn opaque.
  4. Stir in the heavy cream and season with salt and pepper, then remove from heat.
  5. Transfer the seafood mixture into a baking dish, sprinkling the grated cheese and breadcrumbs over the top.
  6. Bake for 15-20 minutes or until the top is golden and bubbly.
  7. Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.

Notes

To make it a family affair, let kids sprinkle the breadcrumbs and cheese. You can substitute scallops with more shrimp or fish. For extra flavor, add smoked paprika or lemon zest.
