Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line an 8×8-inch pan with parchment. Whisk melted butter and brown sugar until smooth. Add egg and vanilla; mix until glossy.
- Stir in flour, baking powder, and salt just until combined. Add butterscotch chips if using.
- Spread batter evenly in pan. Bake 15–18 minutes until golden and edges pull from sides. Cool completely before cutting.
