Description
A cozy and comforting one-pot meal featuring steak and pasta in a creamy garlic butter sauce that’s perfect for busy weeknights.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 pound steak (sirloin or your choice)
- 8 ounces rotini pasta
- 4 tablespoons butter
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes (adjust to taste)
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Parmesan cheese (for serving)
- Fresh parsley (for garnish)
Instructions
- In a large pot, bring water to a boil and cook the rotini pasta according to the package instructions. Drain the pasta and set aside.
- While the pasta is cooking, season the steak with salt and pepper. In the same pot, melt 2 tablespoons of butter over medium-high heat. Add the steak bites and cook until browned and done to your liking, about 4-5 minutes. Remove the steak from the pot and set it aside.
- In the same pot, add the remaining butter and minced garlic. Sauté until fragrant, about 1 minute.
- Pour in the heavy cream and add the red pepper flakes. Stir and bring to a gentle simmer.
- Add the cooked pasta and steak back into the pot, tossing everything to coat nicely.
- Serve hot, topped with grated Parmesan cheese and fresh parsley for garnish.
Notes
To keep it kid-friendly, reduce the amount of red pepper flakes. Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the fridge for up to three days.
