- 4 chicken breasts
- 2 cups egg noodles
- 4 tablespoons butter
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon dried Italian herbs
- Salt to taste
- Black pepper to taste
- 1 cup chicken broth
- Fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions
- In a large skillet, melt 2 tablespoons of butter over medium heat.
- Season the chicken breasts with salt, pepper, and Italian herbs.
- Add the chicken breasts to the skillet. Cook each side for about 5-7 minutes until thoroughly cooked (internal temperature should reach 165°F).
- Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside on a plate.
- In the same skillet, add minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute, or until fragrant.
- Pour in 1 cup of chicken broth and bring to a simmer.
- Add the egg noodles, stirring to combine. Cook for about 8-10 minutes until tender, stirring occasionally.
- Once the noodles are cooked, stir in the remaining 2 tablespoons of butter until melted and well combined.
- Return the chicken to the skillet and let warm through for about 2-3 minutes.
- Garnish with chopped fresh parsley before serving.
Notes
For added flavor, drizzle some of the pan sauce over the chicken before serving. This dish pairs well with a side salad or steamed veggies.
