Ingredients
Scale
- 4 chicken thighs or breasts
- ½ cup honey
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- ¼ cup soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 teaspoon grated ginger (optional)
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch (optional, for thickening)
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- Chopped green onions, for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Season the chicken with salt and pepper on both sides.
- Heat the olive oil in a large pan over medium-high heat.
- Add the chicken to the pan and cook for 6-8 minutes per side until golden brown and cooked through (internal temperature should be 165°F).
- In a small bowl, whisk together honey, soy sauce, minced garlic, and the grated ginger.
- Remove the chicken from the pan and add the honey garlic mixture. Let it simmer for 2-3 minutes, stirring occasionally. If using cornstarch, mix it with a tablespoon of water and add it to the sauce now.

- Garnish with chopped green onions and serve warm over rice or vegetables.
Notes
Adjust sweetness by reducing honey if desired. Add crushed red pepper flakes for heat.
