Description
Easy Halloween strawberry spiders made with fresh berries, melted chocolate, and candy eyes. A cute three-ingredient no-bake treat for parties and spooky snack tables.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 pound fresh strawberries
- 1/2 cup semisweet chocolate chips or melting chocolate
- 24 to 36 small edible candy eyes
Instructions
- Wash and completely dry the strawberries. Remove the leafy tops and trim a very thin slice from each wide end so the berries stand upright.
- Melt the chocolate in a microwave-safe bowl in 20-second intervals, stirring after every interval until smooth. Transfer it to a fine-tip piping bag or squeeze bottle.
- Pipe two or three tiny chocolate dots on each strawberry and press a candy eye onto every dot.
- Line a plate or sheet pan with parchment. For each spider, pipe a small chocolate center with four curved legs on the left and four on the right.
- While the chocolate is wet, place one strawberry flat-side down over the joined center. Refrigerate for about 10 minutes, or until firm.
Notes
Dry the berries thoroughly, pipe the legs thick enough to hold their shape, and keep the finished spiders in a single layer in the refrigerator until serving.
