Description
Creepy but family-friendly Halloween sausage rolls shaped like severed fingers, with halal sausages, soft dough, realistic knuckle lines, dough fingernails, and bright ketchup.

- 5 halal beef or chicken sausages
- 1 package refrigerated roll dough
- 1 large egg, beaten
- 2 tablespoons ketchup
- All-purpose flour for the work surface, if needed
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 190°C / 375°F and line a baking tray with parchment paper.
- Unroll the dough, reserve a small strip for the nails, and divide the rest into five equal rectangles.
- Place one sausage lengthwise on each rectangle. Wrap completely, then pinch the seam and both ends closed.
- Roll each piece into a long finger. Shape two raised knuckles and score shallow horizontal lines with a small knife.
- Cut five small ovals from the reserved dough and press one near the tip of each finger to make the nails.
- Arrange on the tray, brush lightly with beaten egg, and bake for 12 to 15 minutes until cooked and only lightly golden.
- Cool for 2 to 3 minutes. Lift each dough nail slightly, spoon ketchup underneath and around it, then press it back into place.
- Arrange the five finished fingers on a wooden board and serve warm.
Notes
Keep the dough chilled so it is easier to shape.
Score the knuckles lightly so the rolls do not split.
Assemble up to eight hours ahead and refrigerate before baking.
Store leftovers in the refrigerator for up to three days and reheat in the oven.
