Ingredients

- 8 ounces pasta (spaghetti or penne)
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 can (15 ounces) diced tomatoes
- 1 cup heavy cream (or half-and-half for a lighter option)
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh basil for garnish
Instructions
- Boil water in a large pot. Add pasta and cook according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
- Pour in diced tomatoes (with juices) and sprinkle in Italian seasoning. Simmer for about 5 minutes.
- Lower heat and stir in heavy cream. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Simmer gently until the sauce thickens.
- Add cooked pasta to the skillet and toss gently until well coated.
- Serve hot, garnished with fresh basil.
Notes
For extra flavor, consider adding parmesan cheese on top or pairing with a side salad or garlic bread.
