- 8 oz bowtie pasta
- 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 cup sun-dried tomatoes, chopped
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup Parmesan cheese, grated
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh basil for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Cook the bowtie pasta according to the package instructions. Drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Season chicken with salt and pepper, then add to the skillet. Cook for 6-7 minutes on each side until browned and cooked through. Remove from skillet and let rest before slicing.
- Add minced garlic to the skillet and sauté for about a minute until fragrant.
- Add chopped sun-dried tomatoes and cook for another 2 minutes.
- Pour in heavy cream, bringing the mixture to a gentle simmer. Stir in grated Parmesan until melted and smooth.
- Toss in the cooked pasta, coating well with the sauce.
- Slice chicken and place on top of pasta. Garnish with fresh basil if desired and serve warm.
Notes
You can use pre-cooked chicken for quicker preparation. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to three days.
