Description

Delightful stuffed pasta shells filled with a cheesy blend, perfect for family gatherings during the holiday season.


Ingredients

  • 20 jumbo pasta shells
  • 2 cups ricotta cheese
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 3 cups marinara sauce
  • Fresh basil for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Boil the jumbo shells in a large pot of salted water until al dente, drain and cool slightly.
  3. In a mixing bowl, combine ricotta, mozzarella, Parmesan, egg, and seasonings; mix until blended.
  4. Spread 1 cup of marinara sauce in the bottom of a baking dish.
  5. Stuff each shell with the cheese mixture and place in the baking dish.
  6. Pour the remaining marinara sauce over the shells, and sprinkle mozzarella on top.
  7. Cover with foil and bake for 25 minutes.
  8. Uncover and bake for an additional 10 minutes until golden and bubbly.
  9. Let sit for 5 minutes before serving, garnished with fresh basil.

Notes

Involve the kids in stuffing the shells for a fun family activity. You can prepare the shells a day in advance and refrigerate until ready to bake.
