- 2 large eggs

- 1 cup dried cranberries
- 1 tablespoon orange zest
- 1/2 cup chopped nuts (optional)

Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until smooth.
- Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla extract.
- In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add this to the creamed mixture.
- Stir in the dried cranberries, orange zest, and nuts (if using).
- Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto ungreased baking sheets.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are golden.
- Allow to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to wire racks to cool completely.
Notes
For the best texture, ensure the butter is softened but not melted. Do not overmix the dough after adding flour.
