Description

These sausage muffins with cheddar cheese soup are savory, cheesy, and packed with flavor. Perfect for breakfast, snacking, or serving with soups and stews!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound breakfast sausage (pork or turkey)
  • 1 cup cheddar cheese soup
  • 2 cups Bisquick mix (or whole wheat Bisquick)
  • 1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/4 cup green onions, chopped (optional)
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a muffin tin or line with paper liners.
  2. Cook the sausage in a skillet over medium heat until fully browned. Drain excess fat and let cool.
  3. Mix wet ingredients – In a large bowl, whisk together eggs, cheddar cheese soup, and milk.
  4. Combine dry ingredients – In another bowl, mix Bisquick, shredded cheddar, green onions, garlic powder, and black pepper.
  5. Mix batter – Slowly fold the dry ingredients into the wet mixture. Add the cooked sausage and stir just until combined. Do not overmix.
  6. Fill muffin cups about ¾ full.
  7. Bake for 18-22 minutes or until the tops are golden brown and a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  8. Cool slightly before serving. Enjoy warm!
